So the unit gets hot. But, no ceramic mug I used yet lets the heat through to give more than a tepid cup of coffee. If that's all you need, it's a good product. Otherwise, it's not.Keeps my tea warm. Cord should be a bit longer.I got this as a safe way to use a scented candle in the bathroom. The candle jar has to be positioned 'just so' in order to activate the heating element, but on the positive side, moving the candle slightly turned it off, so it IS safe. Tried it ONCE for a cup of tea--not at all suitable. Barely kept the tea lukewarm.These seemed to work well for a bit, but now they barely keep a beverage warm.Great coffee warmer.Don't like flames due to my dogs tails and clumsiness. Use as candle fragrance. Does greatI use this warmer every day to warm up cold drinks from the fridge. It takes about 15 minutes to warm up.The temperature is just right for the month.
